Preview a publication
You can preview your publication to see what it looks like outside the editor. If you’ve already published your publication and you still want to make some changes, the preview gives you an overview of the changes before republishing.
The preview URL is shareable and can be accessed by everyone, even if they don’t have a Foleon account. You can also share a preview of your publication by sharing the preview URL.
Note: the preview of your publication cannot be found through search engines and is only accessible via the URL.
See live version
You can view your live publication through this shortcut. In addition, if you remove "preview" from the preview URL, this will also be your live publication link.
Edit a publication
You can always edit your publications, regardless of their status. The easiest way to do this is by clicking on the publication’s thumbnail. You will then get directed to the editor to edit your publication. Once you’re done editing, click to republish your publication.
Duplicate a publication
To duplicate an existing publication, click on Duplicate (this might take a few seconds depending on the size of the publication).
Bear in mind that you might have to refresh the editor to see the duplicate.
Delete a publication
Once you’ve deleted a publication, it will no longer be accessible in the editor or the URL, neither will the form submissions and the reporting metrics.
It’s best to download the latest form submissions and reporting metrics before you delete the publication.
If a visitor clicks on the URL of a deleted publication, they will automatically be redirected to the most recent published publication within this project. You can also decide which publication visitors get redirected to by clicking Show as first.
Important note: if you’re planning to delete a published publication, make sure you set it offline first (otherwise it will remain online on its URL).
Get form results
Depending on your license, Foleon offers different ways to gather information about your visitors. All of the information you’ve acquired can be downloaded as a CSV here. You can also set up an email notification for each form submission in the editor.
Alternatively, you can also automatically process and transfer form submissions from Foleon to 1,000+ other apps through our Zapier integration.
More information about Zapier integration in our article: Connecting Foleon to Zapier.
More information about forms in our article: All about forms.
Convert to PDF
Foleon offers the option to convert to PDF. Keep in mind that Foleons are designed for the web. Generating a static PDF from a responsive design will cause inevitable variations in layout and formatting.
Compress to ZIP
Learn about what a ZIP file contains and how to upload it in our article: Hosting Foleon publications on your own server.
Move to other project
You can move a publication to a different project by selecting Move to other project and selecting the desired project from the drop-down menu.
Foleon has built-in reporting that gives you easy access to the most important metrics about your publication.
There you can access the reports per publication.
Read more about our built-in reporting in our article: How to access our built-in reporting metrics.
Note: This option is only visible for published publications.
Unpublish a publication
When you unpublish a publication (take it offline) it will no longer be available via the URL. Please note that publications created in the old editor can only be taken offline in the old dashboard.
If a visitor clicks on the URL of a publication that was taken offline, they will automatically be redirected to the most recent published publication within this project. Or, if there is no other publication live in that project, they will see a 404 page. You can also decide which publication visitors get redirected to by clicking Show as first.

Note: if you’re planning to delete a published publication, make sure you set it offline first (unpublish). Otherwise, it will remain visible online. If you need help with this, please contact email@example.com.
