A mail to link is an easy way to avoid a written email address in your publication. This can be done by hyperlinking a selected text, photo or button.

Call to (telephone):
A call to link will open a direct call from a mobile phone or Facetime/ Skype from a desktop allowing readers to call you with the click of a button!

Link from text

Select the text you want to hyperlink.

For instance: ‘send an email’ or ‘call me’. Click on the link icon at the top of your screen and a text link-box will appear. There you have to click on ‘external URL’ in the ‘link to’ option and add the following URL for email: mailto:yourname@yourcompany.com.

Or type: tel: your country code and the telephone number, for telephone calls. For the country code, use 00 instead of the + sign. For example, a Dutch mobile number will look like this: tel:00316123456789.

Note: You can select the ‘open link in new window’ box if you want to ensure that the reader doesn’t close the publication when sending an email or calling you.

Link from an image

To add a link to an image, hover your mouse over the desired element and click on ‘settings’ at the top right corner of the element. Go to general settings and click on ‘edit link’. There, you have to click on ‘external URL’ in the ‘link to’ option and add the following URL for email: mailto:yourname@yourcompany.com. Or type tel: the country code and the telephone number, for telephone calls.

Link from a button

Add a button from the elements menu and hover over the button. At the top left corner, a black menu appears, where you must click on ‘edit link’. There, you have to click on ‘external URL’ in the ‘link to’ option and add the following URL for email: mailto:yourname@yourcompany.com. Or type tel: the country code and the telephone number, for telephone calls.

Pre-set email subject

You can also add a pre-set subject to these emails. If you want to do this, please extend the link to: mailto:yourname@yourcompany.com?subject=The%20subject%20of%20the%20mail

If a reader clicks on this link, the subject will automatically be added to the created email.
